GYEON Q² Mohs is part of the new generation of ceramic coatings based on quartz (SiO2).

Unlike competing products, Q² Mohs contracts by only 5% during its curing (the average for SiO2 coating is 30%).

As a result, each layer of Gyeon Q² Mohs provides an increase of about 0.19 microns measurable on the paint thickness and significantly improves scratch resistance by adding an average of 3-4 degrees of hardness (3H/4H) on the MOHS scale.

The surface then becomes extremely smooth and allows for a very spectacular hydrophobic effect.

This extreme "beading" is not only beautiful but also adds a self-cleaning ability that ensures an always clean appearance between washes as it drains most dirt in a very effective way.

Therefore, the aesthetic maintenance of a car becomes extremely simple and most contaminants can be removed by pressure washing.

In addition to this self-cleaning effect, GYEON Q² Mohs also offers excellent protection against bird droppings, insects, road salt, and UV rays for an average of 18 months or 30,000 km.

It is suitable even for daily-use vehicles since it is impermeable to chemicals (pH resistance from 2 to 11).

Once completely cured, it can only be removed by using a polishing machine.

Q² Mohs is extremely easy to apply regardless of the vehicle color.

It can therefore be used by both informed enthusiasts and professional detailers.

Each additional layer will improve durability and resistance to micro-scratches.

The product must be applied only on paintwork in very good condition, new or just after defect correction (polishing).

Product usage

Recommended skin protection. Work in a well-ventilated area. Store in a dark, dry and cool place. Avoid applying in full sunlight.

A thorough preparation of the vehicle is absolutely necessary, namely: washing, decontamination (clay and iron remover), polishing and degreasing using a cleaner.

Place the suede microfiber on the applicator and slightly moisten it with Q² Mohs.
Start spreading the product evenly on a part of your vehicle, overlapping the passes. We recommend working panel by panel since it is necessary to wipe the treated part between 30 s and 5 min before the coating hardens. Use 2 different microfibers for this operation: the 1st for rough wiping, the 2nd for finishing wiping.
Using a bright light, carefully check that you no longer see any product residue on the treated part, otherwise it will no longer be possible to remove the marks later ... except by machine.
You can apply a second layer of coating after one hour of setting (maximum of 3 layers).
The car must then be left in a warm and dry place, out of direct sunlight for a minimum of 24 hours to allow the coating layer to harden (you can speed up this process by heating the treated panels to 60°C for 10 minutes using an infrared heating lamp).

Finally, to reduce the risk of aggressive residues and water spots before the product has completely hardened (around 14 days), you must apply a layer of GYEON Q²M Cure before being able to use your vehicle. In humid conditions, use Q²M Cure diluted 1:1 with distilled water. Do not wash the car with aggressive products during the first 7 days.

Finally, it is important to note that after application, all suede cloths as well as the microfibers used must be cleaned immediately, otherwise the residues absorbed during wiping will harden and your towels will become unusable. To avoid this issue, we advise soaking your microfibers directly in hot water with an appropriate detergent after the finishing phase. Rinse the pipette after use.
