Clays and lubricants
Mechanical decontamination is essential before applying a wax or before the polishing stage. It is carried out with a clay bar (clay bar), a synthetic clay glove (clay mitt), a synthetic clay towel (clay towel), or even with a synthetic clay disc (clay pad). All these accessories are used with a clay lubricant (clay lube) that lubricates the surface so that the clay glides perfectly over the surface without damaging it. This decontamination removes all contaminants present on the surface (paint/varnish/glass…) such as organic residues, sap, tar spots, or a veil of varnish or paint.
