i7 LEATHER Top Coat Glossy is a finishing varnish, designed to provide a clear, deep and durable shine on pigmented leathers.

Its technical formulation, based on film-forming resins, ensures a glossy, smooth, flexible and highly resistant finish, ideal for completing a repair or recoloring. It stabilizes pigmentation, evens out the final appearance and provides a layer of mechanical protection, while preserving the suppleness of the leather.

Its total compatibility with Finishing Pro allows the creation of an extremely efficient finishing system, suitable for demanding environments such as automotive or furniture.

Formulated from aqueous acrylic/PU resins, the Top Coat Glossy offers a structured yet flexible finish.

Its shine is obtained through the presence of highly transparent film-forming agents, giving the surface a natural polished look, never plastic or artificial.

Use

Before any application, it is essential to properly prepare the substrate to ensure a homogeneous and durable film formation.
Check that the pigmented surface is completely dry, stabilized and free of residues (dust, sponge marks, solvents, oils, sweat…). Lightly mattify the leather if necessary to optimize the adhesion of the top coat.
If a repair (paste, stucco) has been carried out, ensure that the final sanding is perfectly smooth, clean and uniform.

- Application

Slightly soak a sponge pad with the topcoat.
Spread in continuous and smooth movements, without applying excessive pressure.
Smooth immediately with the clean part of the sponge to remove marks, bubbles and overloaded areas.
Work while avoiding too frequent reapplications: water evaporation begins quickly.
Prefer several successive thin coats rather than one thick coat.

Application precautions: Do not overload: excess leads to rigidity and optical defects.

Always work in a constant motion, without going back over an area that is starting to dry. Avoid contact with hands before full stabilization.

- Drying

Controlled application is essential to obtain a clean, regular matte effect without optical defects.
Touch dry: 10 to 20 minutes depending on temperature and ventilation.
Fully dry: about 1 hour.
Acceleration possible with a light flow of unheated air (ventilation or cold air gun).

Do not handle the surface during drying, as the film is still flexible and may mark.

Always work in a clean environment, free of suspended dust, to prevent particles from settling in the still fresh film.

Recommended temperature: 15–25 °C, moderate humidity.

Important: The glossy top coat must be applied exclusively on pigmented or treated leather. Never on aniline, nubuck or suede.
