Because of these characteristics, it is often used in the aerospace sector for protective coatings on components that must withstand extreme environmental conditions.

Polysiloxanes, on the other hand, are inorganic polymers containing a main chain of silicon and oxygen (Si-O) atoms, also known as silicones. Polysiloxanes are valued for their flexibility, low-temperature resistance, waterproofing, and insulating properties.

The main difference between the two lies in their chemical composition and the resulting properties.
