Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light, also known by the acronym CSL, is a long-lasting ceramic coating.
It is the accessible version of the famous Crystal Serum ceramic, which is only applied by accredited professionals from the Gtechniq network.
This Light version is more forgiving and therefore more suitable for knowledgeable enthusiasts.
Indeed, the coating can, for example, be removed if necessary after a simple polishing, unlike the pro version which requires sanding.
Nevertheless, Crystal Serum Light offers 80% of the performance of the professional version.
As for added gloss, there is no difference between the two versions.
In terms of durability, the coating will protect your vehicle for 2 to 3 years depending on maintenance and usage.
Finally, Crystal Serum Light offers good resistance to aggressive chemicals (pH 2–12), a smooth touch, and a strong water-repellent effect.
Once protected, cleaning your vehicle will be a simple formality :)
Gtechniq Exo v5 Hydrophobic Coating is a ceramic "top coat" protection for bodywork.
Differences between V4 and V5:
- More durable
- More resistant to chemicals
- Better preservation once the bottle is opened
In addition to providing long-lasting protection (up to 2 years), this coating will give your vehicle a very pronounced gloss and a very strong water-repellent (hydrophobic) effect.
Exo V5 can be applied as a standalone protection (on most vehicles) or as a Top Coat (finishing layer) over C1 Crystal Lacquer or Crystal Serum Light (recommended on delicate varnishes or dark vehicles).
It can be used on paint, rims, metals, and plastics.

Product usage
CSL - Crystal Serum Light
Dilution

Use
- First degrease the surface to be protected with Panel Wipe.
- Apply the equivalent of 2 pipettes (supplied) of Crystal Serum Light on the application pad.
- Close the bottle and set it down (do not keep it in your hand to avoid warming it up, which could prematurely accelerate its hardening).
- Apply to the vehicle in areas of up to 60x60 cm.
- Wipe after 2 to 3 minutes with moderate pressure (it is recommended to use 2 different microfibers to make sure no area is left unwiped).
- Regularly fold your wiping microfiber to use different sides.
- Allow Crystal Serum Light to bond to the clear coat for at least 12h (ideally 24h) without water contact.
- Do not wash the vehicle for 1 week.
Important
Always work in the shade, on a cool surface, and do not let the product dry.
Do not forget to wear your protective equipment: nitrile gloves and mask.
Use appropriate lighting to avoid missing a streak when wiping.
Once wiping is complete, rinse your microfibers immediately so that C1 does not crystallize in the fiber. However, it is recommended to later assign these microfibers to another use than wiping the bodywork.

Use
Good to know if applying Exo V5 as a top coat:
On C1: Apply Exo V5 no sooner than 3h after C1 and no later than 10h after.
On CSL: Apply Exo V5 immediately after CSL and no later than 24h after.
- First degrease the surface to be protected with Panel Wipe.
- Apply 5 to 10 drops of Exo V5 on the application pad.
- Apply to the vehicle in areas of up to 60x60 cm.
- Once Exo V5 is applied, wipe it after a maximum of 2 min (if ambient temperature is between 5 and 15°C) or after a maximum of 1 min (if ambient temperature is between 15 and 25°C). Above 25°C, wipe immediately.
- Regularly fold your wiping microfiber to use different sides.
- Gtechniq recommends applying a second layer of Exo V5 to ensure you have achieved an even application.
- It is not necessary to wait to apply a second layer of Exo V5.
- Allow Exo V5 to bond to the clear coat for at least 12h (ideally 24h) without water contact.
- Do not wash the vehicle for 1 week.
